I want to write about the history of my dog, simba the little man who taught me….I can make friends, and hopefully keep them. If all else fails; I always have his spirit watching over me….😭
The day was in June or July of 2007. My mom wanted to get me a dog, which was really awesome of her one day, at the pet store, we met him….the sweet little shiba inu that my mom said I could take home. I couldn’t hold back my tears. Simba and I were gonna be family as we toke our taxi cab home and I held the little puppy in my arms.
We first called him shibu. But he ended up simba after awhile, and that’s a better name for him
He taught me how to go places by myself. We would admire flowers together, and sometimes, I would take him to the playground to watch people play baseball. We also used to walk the docks, but I stopped taking him there forever when he almost swallowed a fish hook. A nice man saved his life. I am so grateful
Simba would walk with my brother and me, and we would say he was being a “Pack man”. XD I gotta laugh at how wonderfully nerdy that sounds haha.
I would pretend he was Pikachu or lucario time to time. Sometimes, simba would have me and my brother chase him around a table. Our mom called it “ring around the table, catch me if you’re able~” xD
I once tried one of simba’s treats that didn’t have meat in it. It tasted weird.
I had many dreams with simba in them, both when he was alive and after he passed on. Many talked about his loyalty to me I hope to dream of him tonight too…
The day he died was one of the saddest days of my life. Simba was such a cheerful boy, he went to the vet, and was so friendly as they told us he was gonna need to be put down soon. It’s touching how loving that canine was…
The day we had to put him down, he licked my jacket. I cried as I saw the sun rise. It was the hardest goodbye of my life…..I got a plush dog I named nala from Paula that day. It hurts so much to remember…
I have pictures dedicated to simba on my walls
I like to think he watches over all my friendships now. Especially tonight, I need that strength.
Simba was the best friend I could ever ask for. I will always miss him. I am glad I have Sophie now, but simba….I raised him as my own😭 no one will ever take his place.
Tonight I even wondered if his heaven is very similar to equestria and he is a pony or Alicorn now. It’s a weird thought, but his spirit is forever the spirit of a friend to me cos he is a dog…..and dogs love us forever.
